1. Re: Rental car recommendations. We have rented a regular car every visit and it has gotten us everywhere we wanted to go, including TOC beach over bumpy, rocky, unpaved roads. Drive slowly, carefully and it will be fine. Some rental companies that are frequently mentioned are Thompson's, Berlie's, Airport Car Rental, Don's.
Was reading through Google reviews for various car rental places on Exuma (New Berlies, Thompsons, Airport) and they all have some pretty scary reviews... some are ok and others say avoid at all costs due to problems with the cars, customer service, etc. Looking into Sure to Shore as they seem the most reasonable.

My family visited Exuma last year and we used Out Island Car Rentals and they were amazing. They met us at the airport with the car when we arrived and someone met us at the airport again to drop it off when we left.
