Hey Iris, I bought my annual travel insurance with AXA Travel and I've been using them for 3 years now. Once, I got my wallet stolen in Fuqing, China. I called AXA hotline right away and they gave me detailed guidance on what I need to do to make the insurance claim (getting Chinese police report, photocopy of boarding pass, travel documents, etc).
I came across AXA insurance from SingPost (Essential Plan), their coverage seems to be slightly better than MSIG but premium is also slightly more, by about $4 only. Some review about AXA is not so good, so am thinking maybe can get some advice from the forummers here or any recommendations of any travel insurance company.
Travel insurance is a complete waste of money, hopefully, but utter madness to travel without it. There's a zillion ways of the unexpected happening, so for the relatively small cost in the scheme of things, travel insurance is, in my opinion, essential. Have a safe trip.
