When I got to the rental counter after an hour standing in line, the agent could not find any reservation for me.

However time pressures sometimes means it’s easier to see the sort of prices on offer on an aggregator site rather than traveling through each supplier individually. I’ve learned a lesson though.    Yesterday morning I booked a car rental from Priceline. I took a $40 Uber ride to find out that the Hertz location was closed on the weekends. I get it, there have been a lot of changes due to covid but it has been going on for months and they really should be verifying that the places they book reservations for are open before confirming reservations.

   I called Priceline and they admitted that the prepayment $261 is only for reservations fee not for car rental. The thrifty car rental said the prepayment not go to their pocket.
