Re: Hwy 36. 18 years ago. US 36 is a very good road through Missouri (lots of 4 lane stretches) and most of Kansas. In Western Kansas, the route becomes less heavily traveled. Around the Norton area, there is a route which cuts South to I-70. I would recommend making the cut. fyi- I-70 through Missouri is a real pain.
Answer 1 of 6: I haven't been to Kansas City or a Chiefs game in many years, but will be coming back for a visit and game in October. We used to stay in Crown Center and take a Chiefs Express bus to and from the stadium, and it was great.

Parts of southwest Kansas are now drier than during the dust bowl days. Several highways were closed yesterday because of blowing dust and smoke from grass fires which burned about 25,000 acres. Wind gust over 70 mph, no storm, just straight line winds strong enough to blow semi trucks/trailers over.
