Avis has two garage facilities -- one in the A side garage, and another in the B side garage, with corresponding service desks on each side of the terminal. They function together, so it is possible to rent on one side and return on the other side.
Answer 11 of 14: Landing domestic flight on American Airlines and have booked rental car with Avis. How far do we have to walk to the rental location after picking up our luggage?
I can only base my comments on my experience. Last year a party of 5 booked as a fly-drive with BA = no issues. This year, party of 7 booked through the BA website with Avios points, atrocious.
You do have activate the sunpass transponder in the car but we never drive through the surpass lanes so haven't encountered that problem. Hindsight is a great thing I know but if you joined the free Avis loyalty programme you wouldn't have needed to go to the sales desk as your car would have been ready in the garage - if you have been Avis customers for 20 years I'm surprised you haven't done ...
Well what can I say, they seem to have some good reviews, am very surprised!!!!! We booked 10 weeks car hire last year ( cost over £1k) to cover our stay from November/ January, we have a house there, We had problems from the minute we booked, we booked our car from Orlando, when the email confirmation came through it was for Panama City!!!! after a while it was rectified.
