Google Street View is a technology featured in Google Maps and Google Earth that provides interactive panoramas from positions along many streets in the world. It was launched in 2007 in several cities in the United States, and has since expanded to include all of the country's major and minor cities, as well as the cities and rural areas of many other countries worldwide.
When you do that all the streets that you can go to will turn blue, when you drag the orange man to any of those streets you'll be transported to "street view". You can drive around clicking on the streets in that view, or you can click on different areas in the little map area on the lower right. Edited: 14 years ago

To get to street view, drag the little orange "guy" that is just above the zoom control onto the map - it will highlight where street view is available by outlining it in blue (I think). Pretty neato stuff - fun to get a peek at the Cabo streets of a year ago!
