In total, our $480 rental became $899. Absolutely unbelievable - never had anything like that in all the hundreds of cars I've rented around the world.

   29. Re: Rental car discount codes and lowest prices. 9 years ago. We will be in Maui from 12/26 through 1/2, and I just switched from a $482 Nissan Sentra for the week from DHCR, to a $231 Ford EDGE from Costco. It pays to keep checking! (Both of these reservations were from Budget).

Love the ability to pick the car and drive away without any added hassle. (Btw, totally free to join Emerald Club ;) )

   Alamo/Costco didn't come close to Dollar's DHCR prices for our 2018 trip. With some reluctance, we made the switch to Dollar. There were no problems with Dollar's quick car pick-up or drop off. For 2019, we've reserved Dollar through DHCR -- with frequent searches for lower rates at Costco & Autoslash.
