Re: Vinyl record shops. Your best bet in Tokyo are the many Disc Union locations. There are eight locations in Shinjuku, two have a great used vinyl selection - Shinjuku Rock Record and Shinjuku Used Store. There are also many Disc Union locations that are an easy train ride, just Google their location map. Recofan and Coconuts Disc are okay.

Well, you're coming to the right place for records. Shimokitazawa is a neighbourhood of Tokyo that has a lot of stores selling vinyl. Also Shibuya & Shinjuku.Now it's not easy to find stores as most are hidden in small office buildings (like everything else in Tokyo) you will need a map, get a copy of magazine 'Record Map' as it has maps of vinyl record stores in Tokyo.
