We recently used Hertz in Miami - $4.95 per day / Max of $24.95 plus actual toll charges. Charges trickled in over a couple of weeks after our trip.

    5 years ago. Should you try to drive south out of Austin on US183 to Lockhart or Luling, US183 till meet Toll 130 at a stop intersection north of Austin. US183 essentially becomes the access road for Toll 130 after you continue through the light. Beware. They have arranged the signage so that it looks like you have to enter 130 to go to Lockhart.

    The one you might encounter is Toll 130, a bypass around Austin to avoid I35. If you come from Houston and just drive straight into central Austin, you won't be on it. Toll 130 does provide a fast and uncongested route to San Antonio , an alternative to the often congested I35, but it approaches San Antonio on the west side.
