Check Budget rent a car on Tropicana Ave across from the Orleans, usually much lower with NO airport fees, even with the Uber ride from the airport! Reply.
I'm sorry, but a 2 1/2 to 3 hour wait anywhere, with any car company, is just beyond belief. Are you sure you were talking about Hertz and not Fox (they both have odd letters) - Hertz is very seldom used with "discounts" in the same breath, they (and Avis) are the full-priced, full service options that business travelers and rich people (like WD, lol) use (just joking WD).
6. Votes. There is a Fox rental car on West Pebble Road off of South Las Vegas Blvd which is less than a half mile from the South Point Resort & Casino. The McCarren airport shuttle will take you to the major rental car center free of charge. Then the Fox shuttle will take you to their facility free also.

Technology is such that direct links from rental companies are imbedded in OTA, airline & other rental booking channels so you don’t book a rental car when a location is closed.

I've done one way rentals from Enterprise many times, though never across different states. My experience is that it jacks the price up 25-50% on average compared to returning it to the same location. Avoid renting from or returning to airport sites, you get charged an extra percentage tax just to be at that spot.

We recently used Fox Rent a Car at the Princess Juliana Airport at St. Maarten. They were great. The car we received was in a good shape.
