Does anyone know if any car rental companies offer ‘skip the counter’ type service at Terminal C at Orlando International Airport? I know for example Avis Preferred isn’t possible there (while it is at A and B).

I wouldn't consider it to be a major overhead and nothing worth fretting over. Hardly worse than using the shuttles from the AB satellites into the main building.

Shuttlebus is on level 1. Much less walking. Plus, not sure the train is running 100%. It wasn't running when I was there last week.

   Some people like buying the rental company's insurance just for peace of mind. $400 to $500 is probably a good average. For a September booking like mine, $200 to $300 is the norm for a 10 day rental, but if you're booking during Christmas holiday time, $500 to $800 would be about right.

   If you stick with any of the name brands, you'll be fine. Prices all about the same. But, join the club for whichever you want to do, then you can bypass the line at the counter and go straight to your car, or the preferred kiosk.
