What I don’t like about Hertz, they charge you each and every day of the rental, even if you never go through another toll. The max is $24 or so, but it’s just flat out wrong.
License laws differ tremendously by state. Some do have junior license - but based on age - often for 16 year olds - not by how long you have had the license. As far as I know almost no one will rent to those under 21 and charge a special fee for those under 25.
Thus, under the terms of the program, if you rent a car for 5 days and on the 5th day you use your EZ Pass, you are charged an extra $24.75 administrative fee for five days, more than twice the most expensive toll in the NYC area. My issue is that these costs are not disclosed immediately because of the way Hertz issues rental contracts.
