However time pressures sometimes means it’s easier to see the sort of prices on offer on an aggregator site rather than traveling through each supplier individually. I’ve learned a lesson though.    83. Re: BEWARE - Do NOT book a car rental through Priceline.com. I reserved and prepaid for a Dollar car rental through Priceline in early Sep. 2021, for pick-up a couple of days later at EWR. When I got to the rental counter after an hour standing in line, the agent could not find any reservation for me.

   Hi! We are going to rent a car for two days to go from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon.. Reviewing the prices I see that when making the reservation directly in Avis it comes out for 397 dollars: 218 of the car, 89 of LDW and ALI (insurance) and 80 of taxes, while in Priceline for the same car for the same date it gives a total price of 203, indicates that this includes taxes and the two insurances.

   "right now I have a alamo car booked through them for 5 days at $137 on a midsize. Priceline sounds good, but what if you get someone besides Alamo? The others all require a CC with at least 200-300 on it to hold against your rental, while Alamo doesn't."
