   We booked a 5 night stay at the Outrigger Waikiki Beachcomber hotel thru Costco travel and all aspects of the Costco package was great. We upgraded our room to a Deluxe Ocean view and our room was on the 21st floor and faced Waikiki beach. The room was clean and was big enough for two people. Katrina at the front desk was so welcoming and helpful.

Last August we paid $2000 for two of us for 6 nights at the Outrigger Keauhou Beach Resort, deluxe ocean view room, intermediate car rental, and roundtrip flight from California.

   Costco is the largest travel wholesaler in the US. So yes-they can negotiate better deals with suppliers than other "agencies". Sometimes those are killer deals too--a regular on Maui just snagged one for about half rack rate for his fav resort, in fact. Always make sure you compare the total costs for each element of a package.

   We booked a Costco package for two to Maui Hyatt a couple years ago. It beat all other deals I researched by $400. We liked all the extras it included: daily breakfast and the resort fees were covered. Last year I found a better deal on Pleasant Holiday and this year we found a better deal by booking everything separately.
