Google Maps is fine, but you do need to get the spelling of the place names right or it might send you somewhere completely different ! Just remember that it only attempts to give drive times & cannot include rest /photo/toilet/coffee stops. We do recommend a driver reviver every 2hr so if GM says 5hr, expect to take more than 6 hr.

Both Google Maps and AA "directions" give the "fastest" route . as via SHs 3,1,5,33 & 2 @ 405 km @ 4h55m ave. 82 km/hr. AA also gives this route as the "shortest" - see below. Google allows route alteration by "moving" using the mouse. and gives a warning about toll roads. AA only allows alteration by adding a "stop" and only mentions

I’ve found Google Maps to be very reliable in France.The “offline” feature works really well if you don’t have data coverage. I don’t drive in France myself but I spend a lot of time in the passenger seat beside a professional who does, and his go-to app is Google plus a paper Michelin atlas.
