I would like to install a Taxi App for Taiwan without a local Taiwan phone number. However, I have read in reviews that the Taiwan Taxi 55688 needs a local number in order to install the app which I do not have since I am still in the US. I installed the "Find Taxi" app in Taiwan to my phone. It requires a phone number to send the validation code.

Works same as uber, use app to request and pay for rides. But you need to speak the language, have payment setup on your phone. You can find the app in your phone App Store, free.
