   MAS rental car be careful !!! Nov 22, 2023, 11:36 AM. MÀS rental car !!! Be careful with this car rental company. We arrived at Cancun airport, and when we went to pick up the car, which was fully paid for, we were charged an additional fee of $45 for additional insurance, even though we had previously paid for full insurance.

   Enterprise, Alamo and National all owned by Enterprise Holdings. Enterprise is their insurance replacement brand that also dabbles at airports. Alamo is their budget/casual traveler brand. National is their business travel brand and is the best of the three, nicest cars, best prefered renter program at the airport etc.

Avant, EasyWay, or America is the recommended rental companies. Please go directly to their websites and don’t book 3rd party.

   Most rental companies will require you to buy their optional SUPPLEMENTAL LIABILITY INSURANCE (SLI) for anywhere from $12-20/day. Lately most have been $16.99/day. That ups the coverage to (again depending on the agency) 2,000,000 pesos. If you don't buy it, they will put a hold on your credit card for (maybe) $2500.

   Enterprise Rent A Car in Lihue, Kauai. I am very GRATEFUL to the LIHUE, Kawaii staff of Enterprise Rent A Car. On Jun-30-2017 @ 6:15pm we returned the rental car, unfortunately once in the airplane, I realized I left my headphones (in it's case plus cables) in the bottom center counter of the car. I immediately submitted a lost item report.
