Therefore the drive time will vary based on time of day (i.e. commute traffic vs. off hours), any accidents, etc. We live close to Silicon Valley and no one uses MapQuest here anymore.

   9 years ago. I am mapping out a massive USA Road Trip and had my route drive times on the website: roadtrippers.com. A couple times seems 'long' to me so I went to google maps & all times were significantly shorter (yippee!). Went to mapquest.com & times were similar to Google Maps BU each leg of trip was 15-30 minutes longer on mapquest.

   GoogleMaps is far ahead of Mapquest these days. Mapquest was first, but it has been playing a futile attempt at catch-up since GoogleMaps came on the scene. Having said that, "Vegas to Anaheim then LA around the LA area then to palm springs and back to LAX" is not going to challenge any mapping engine. But, I do have a question.
