   There is no subway in Zürich. There is an "S bahn" which is a commuter network of trains and then of course trams and buses. You are never far from a tram or bus stop in Zürich. But if you want to be near a subway stop - go and stay in Lausanne. The only "metro" or subway in Switzerland is there.
