I think Priceline has gotten away from their original sales model. They used to mainly offer blind bidding for potential steep discounts. When I looked at Priceline recently for a car rental their prices were comparable to booking through any other third party or booking direct and most of the listings named the rental car company.

I have no experience with priceline.com for renting cars, but I did use orbitz.com to rent a vehicle for my upcoming Yellowstone trip. I use Priceline quite often for my flight tickets, hotel bookings and car rentals. I used Priceline for car rental in Fajardo. I never used the booking since we found a better solution for car rental. However, I as charged $44 by Priceline for Collision Damage. I dont understand why Priceline would charge me for a service they never provided.

3 years ago. Kirk, you did not rent a car from Priceline, you rented from a rental company and had Priceline book it. That means you are held to the terms you agreed to with both companies. You are not entitled automatically to a refund because you had personal things go wrong.
