I am experiencing some weird behavior from the Flightradar24 app at the moment after doing an upgrade to the Android version of the app this morning. In the past if one searched a flight number or route, you would get live flight results if any at that moment and flight numbers.

Free App. I have it on iPad and mobile and use it to track my kids flights when they’re away. Usually, it shows so many aircraft that you can hardly see any sky (obviously, in real life, they are above the clouds). Lots of flight details too - type of aircraft; height; speed; timeline etc. Always fascinating.
I live under the flightpath from the East and as you approach you fly over the beautiful fields and farms of Southern Alberta. Generally the plane will turn slightly south and then approach either runway from there. That means that the left side of the airplane will get the view. But as others have said - a lot depends on the prevailing wind.
