I am looking for a one way rental between Albuquerque and Vegas. I am flexible, I can start in either city. I am looking at a three day rental somewhere between 7/25 and 7/31. All the prices I am getting are in the $500-$600 range. I know one way rentals are a loosing proposition but these prices strike me as really high.

You will simply have to search on the car rental firm websites to get prices - what might be cheapest this week may not be the case next month. I normally use Hertz or Avis but I doubt they will be the cheapest.
Answer 1 of 5: Had to change dates to 1 week later (looking at 18 - 21 Sept) and now hotels prices have gone way up - Bellagio and Caesar's Palace have doubled, Excalibur has gone up by 50%.
