Yes, I have. And when you bid, Priceline only uses the top 5-6 rental companies; they do not use all that are listed on their site for your "bidding". I think the fee i paid priceline was in the neighborhood of $15. All in all a GREAT way to go. Went to alamo, printed out my reservaction immediately afterwards and everything seems to work exactly as a normal car reservation except you have to pay immediately. I personally will probably never rent a car any other way again.
Hi! We are going to rent a car for two days to go from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon.. Reviewing the prices I see that when making the reservation directly in Avis it comes out for 397 dollars: 218 of the car, 89 of LDW and ALI (insurance) and 80 of taxes, while in Priceline for the same car for the same date it gives a total price of 203, indicates that this includes taxes and the two insurances.

For a recent Las Vegas trip I bid on a car for a week and did get a good rate ($50 cheaper than using Dollar) which must be paid in advance and is non-cancellable no matter what.
