What I don’t like about Hertz, they charge you each and every day of the rental, even if you never go through another toll. The max is $24 or so, but it’s just flat out wrong.
In my experience, you won't get the state discount if you use one of the car rental company's EZ passes either.. The advantage to registering the rental car to your EZ pass (as long as you definitely remember to de-register it) is that if for some reason the EZ pass doesn't register then the bill should go to the EZ pass registrant of that license plate (that is, you) at the time of the rental.
Thanks. It appears there's no AAA discount on Hertz right now except for weekend and weekly rentals (I'm renting for 4 weekdays). Hertz has a 25% off discount coupon code, but it only allows one CDP code, so it won't let me enter my AAA information to get the free second driver.
Enterprise Holdings is the parent company of Alamo Rent A Car, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and National Car Rental. It isn't some small no-name company - it is part of the Alamo / National family. Avis, Budget and Zipcar are one company as well - they operate as independent brands but they're the same company.

Answer 1 of 15: Flying into Laguardia the middle of July and looking for a decent rate on a weekly rental car. I was shocked that rates in New York seem to be almost double that of Vegas and Florida rates I have paid in the past.
