3 reviews. 2 helpful votes. Car rental through Costco. 11 years ago. My choices in San Diego to rent a car using our Costco membership are Alamo, Avis, Budget and Enterprise. We usually rent from Alamo but was surprised to find they are the most expensive of the four in San Diego.

Alamo, Hertz, Avis, National, Enterprise -- we mostly do one-day rentals from San Diego and return the car in Orange County or L.A. when we are getting on a cruise ship or flying out of LAX. We've used all of the major brands at various times and never had a problem.

I haven't travelled in a while, so perhaps this is just to be expected, but I couldn't believe how expensive this seems to be. For the 15 day rental period, almost all places are charging $1200 and up. The only thing that seemed "reasonable" to me was this place ...
