I used the Allegiant phone app to check in. This was so convenient to access my boarding pass. I checked one bag for $50.00, and had a carry on. I had no problems with my bag and picked it up promptly. The flight was so smooth, even though the pilot prepared everyone on board for possible turbulence going through some weather.

And Allegiance themselves claimed ""Please let your viewers know that Allegiant doesn’t partner with third parties such as Expedia, Travelocity, or any other travel-related website or call center. Customers can only book with us on Allegiant.com or by calling our customer service department at 702-505-8888."
You can not compare what you received on DL with Allegiant, especially since we do not know what the circumstances were related to that $500 compensation. Different circumstances will drive different compensation amounts, such as when a flight is overbooked and they want volunteers to give up their seats.
