It says you can choose your car online the day you are renting via the phone app, you cannot. Be aware that the walk is long from the baggage claim to where the rental cars are.

Rented twice from SIXT in the past week, both were great experiences. One was Orlando to Fort Lauderdale and then the reverse. Cost was very low compared to all others, about $25/day with no dropoff or mileage charges. Cars were new VW Passats, very nice. The shuttle service was good, but somewhat slow.
I've booked on Expedia, a Sixt rental car needed for 30 hr for my April trip to Boston. The Expedia website stated "cancelation available". To my surprise, I learned I would have to pay a $ 100 fee when I tried to cancel it 1 hr later!!

Re: Sixt car rental Munich. If you have an American Express card the company offers a terrific deal on rental car coverage. For something like $25 bucks per rental (not per day) they provide up to $100K of primary coverage (i.e., your own auto insurer doesn't get involved) for up to something like 42 days of rental.
