Re: Warning: Do not rent from Payless Car Rental, Puerto Rico. 11 years ago. We rented from Payless last weekend. Payless is running a scam in Puerto Rico. When we picked up our car, one guy inspected it in 1 minute and sent us on our way. When we returned the car, 2 people went over it with a fine tooth comb and found a 1mm chip in the windshield.
Having used Alamo SJU many times now I can say it is the best car rental experience I have had anywhere in the world including other Alamo's and various other companies. On top of that it regularly has the best rate at SJU and is close to the rates of off airport agencies. Edited: 7 years ago. Report inappropriate content.
