I am looking for a car rental company near the raleigh/durham airport that offers pick up & drop off service. I have found it is way cheaper to rent a car offsite from the airport. Possibly taking amtrak to raleigh or cary then must get to rdu to rent a car. Will fly out of rdu several days later. Which station would you recommend taking amtrak to? Are there cabs available at both stations? It looks like Cary is a few miles closer to rdu. We'd get there around 5:00 p.m.
On a recent business trip to Raleigh Durham, I rented a car through Enterprise for two days. When I picked up the vehicle, the agent was pushing upgrades to navigation system, premium car, SUV (it wasn't simply "asking"..it was a bit over the top.) We did a walk around and I pointed out several scratches and scuff marks on the vehicle.
