Coverage isnt universal so there will be places where you might have no signal, no matter which provider you choose. The four mobile network operators in the UK are EE, O2, Three & Vodafone.
Re: Best tourism sim card for UK and EU. 1 year ago. O2, Giff Gaff and Smarty are the only providers that still allow free roaming in the EU, as far as I know. Switzerland was never a part of that agreement, so you will have to pay roaming charges there, or use wifi. Reply.

One of the cheapest would be a Lebara pay as you go sim, calls to india 1p per minute, uk calls 15p per minute, data is 15p per megabyte, but you could buy 500mb of data for £5. Lebara sim cards can be purchased from most supermarkets and Newsagents etc. Network coverage wont be a problem in the 2 cities you are going to visit.
You should check this with Lebara. If your I phone has been unlocked and you know how to change sims - and the sim size matches = all good. If not, you'll need to get a phone that is unlocked and that matches the sim size from Lebara. BTW Lebara UK sim cards usually have give cheap rates to phone from UK to the rest of the world.
