Renting a car for only 1 or 2 days at the casinos is always higher than the rates at the airport. You'll be hard pressed to find a 1 day rental for much less than $60 as you did.
On average, most car rental companies will only to rent to drivers who are at least 20 or 21 depending on the company. The companies Hertz, Dollar Car Rental, and Thrifty have a minimum age of 20. Alamo, Enterprise, Avis, and all other reputable companies have a minimum age of 21.
I just booked 11 days with thrifty for $ 313.00 total ( including the crazy fees ) for a wild car. I used the AAA discount, hot deals, and am a Blue Chip Member. Just keep checking because prices can change a few times a day. Always sign up for their loyalty program. Its free and gives you an extra discount.
Answer 1 of 2: Looks like the discount for Dollar Promo code FF05 was recently changed from 5% to 10% (Compact car in Sept) FF05 - discount for employee friends and family (doubt they ask who your friend or relative is)
