Two years ago we put 1200 miles on in 6 days around Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. Last year it was 1200 again from Rapid City and Yellowstone. This year Rocky Mountain National Park and on to Moab to visit Arches/Canyonlands the first week in Sept. The car was rented through Priceline 3 months ago with unlimited mileage.
I recently have been looking for a rental with unlimited miles myself. Some car rentals like avis and budget advertise unlimited miles, but read the fine print. They often limit the so called "unlimited miles" to only a handful of states, with a 25 - 35 cent/mile surcharge for any miles outside of those states.
On previous trips to Orlando, car rentals offered unlimited mileage. It seems now that there is a 2250 mile limit. Anyone know of companies that offer unlimited now? We will be staying on the 27 at Tuscan Ridge, and quite possibly returning to the villa each day and going back to parks in the evening. Perhaps 2250 mi is more than enough?
The most obvious option is terrible. You can terminate your lease early at which point the leasing company will require you to make all remaining payments plus an early termination fee that costs ...
There is another posting (maybe on the GTNP forum) asking about a 1600 free mile limit they have renting a car in Salt Lake and travelling to Yellowstone) so it isn't unique to JAC. As far as an off site pick up place, Jackson airport is all by itself so the offsite places are probably in Jackson.
1) If your local you can only get 150 miles. 2) You cannot go out of state. 3) you must have a recent utility bill on hand. Why would i book a Car to travel out of state for unlimited miles under these conditions. It really wasn't the car companies problem this is there rules and i respect that.
