When I got to the rental counter after an hour standing in line, the agent could not find any reservation for me.

   BEWARE - Do NOT book a car rental through Priceline.com. 5 years ago. I did and thoroughly regret it! I booked and paid, turned up for the car - NO CAR BOOKING! I was cut off by Priceline on the online chat without getting any assistance. I was asked to fax (hello is this the 1980's?) the receipt for the car I had to hire on the spot.

   I booked 3 days car rental through Priceline. Priceline charge me$261 ($86 for each day)for only reservation a car, not for car rental! Never heard a third party can charge you reservation fee. They call it prepayment for car rental at booking time which misleading you. Pretty high profit! Reply.

   Absolutely agree to the message “Beware” - Do Not Book a car rental through Priceline.com. I wished I had seen these warnings before my booking. My Christmas plan was ruined as I did not want to pay the ridiculous double rate for a 4 days car rental, which went from the confirmed rate of $187 to $457 when I arrived at ACE Rent A Car (LAX).

   I called Priceline and they admitted that the prepayment $261 is only for reservations fee not for car rental. The thrifty car rental said the prepayment not go to their pocket.
