One thing you can do to save $$, is if you are driving straight from Albuquerque in one day, just keep the one-way rental for 24 hours so you only pay 1 day at the higher one-way rate. Stick with big names - Hertz, Avis, Alamo, Dollar, etc etc. Avis always comes in cheapest for me via Expedia. Edited: 5:14 pm, March 19, 2024.

You'll likely need to pay for uber/taxi from the place you return the car to your hotel and then take another from your hotel to the airport. That's going to be $30-$40 (guesstimate depending on what you take) at least with tip.
