The total for 12 days is $400. (excluding insurance). On the Israeli Avis site it is $550 (excluding insurance), and eldan (with that 20 percent discount) is over $700. Too bad that $400 quote is not accurate. I liked that one:) Report inappropriate content.
Now this is certainly cheaper than booking directly on the Avis, Hertz, Europcar, Budget etc website which is ridiculously showing over £500!! In other countries - booking on a UK website with a car supplied by one of the Big5 majors - I would expect a price between £80 and £120 per week ie £150 - £220 for this period.
I always book through priceline.com. I have a reservation for this weekend through AVIS for a full size car. Pick-up tomorrow night and returning on Tuesday. Total price for the 4 days with tax is $100.20 ($60 for the car and $40.20 in fees/taxes) I bid $15 dollars on a Full size and it was accepted. You can probably bid even less on a smaller car.

On all aspects of car rental, the devil is in the detail. Read (and fully understand) all the detailed Ts&Cs 'before' you book the rental. Also IMO book direct with the company that hands you the keys. Do not book with Green Motion (aka Home Motion), nor Drivalia. I'm with #8.
