14 helpful votes. Soriana Plaza Carracol does not accept credit cards. 7 years ago. It' happening again. They will accept Mexican credit cards but not americano. Not Visa, not American Express and not Master Card! When asked why, the reply is that there is something wrong with the system. Just be forewarned!
6. Re: Grocery Stores. 6 years ago. Main grocery store in Ixtapa is called Merza, a supermarket opposite Holiday Inn. It takes credit cards and pesos. Good for snack food, coffee, milk products, basic breads, vegetable and fruit. Limited in meats . Huge super market in Zihua called Soriana ( used to be the Commercial).
Grocery stores that deliver. It seems there are 2 new grocery stores in hotel zone, Chedraui Selecto and Soriana in Kukulcan plaza. We will stay in Westin Lagunamar and Soriana is like 0.6 miles walk. I read one comment that Soriana offers delivery service for reasonable fee when they just open early this year.
