    e. Name your own price (NYOP) is a pricing strategy [1] under which buyers make a suggestion for a product’s price (unlike the traditional way where sellers quote a certain price) and the transaction occurs only if a seller accepts this quoted price. Hello Travelers! Priceline.com has a feature called 'Name Your Own Price' and I believe the way it works is you enter a price that you'd be willing to pay for a flight to wherever it is that you'd like to go, and if they find an airline who accepts your offer, your credit card will automatically be charged and you'll be booked on that flight.

Not too useful anymore for airline bookings. If you read their guidelines, it will tell you the most connections you can expect, etc. Most planes are flying pretty full, and many airlines have cut their routes, so I have not read of many people getting great bargains on "name your own price" for airfare.

Re: Experience with Priceline 'Name your own Price'? 13 years ago. I use Priceline & Hotwire a lot, though in the South ( Charlotte, Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Savannah, Jacksonville) a better rate & often better room ---is to check the lowest bids on both. (Priceline, Hotwire)., then call the hotel you think it is directly, speak to the Manager ...

If you are 100% flexible with your arrival and departure times you may be able to save a little money. But, probably very little.
