However i noticed that almost 200 srilankan rupees is deducted while withdrawing money from ATM machine as an addition charge of using international bank cards which is almost 1.2 dollars. The limit per day to withdraw as per my idea is 100 thousand srilanka rupee. the average rate of conversion from dollar to rupee is 159 inside srilanka ...
Local currency (Sri Lanka Rupee-LKR) up to LKR 20,000.-. Foreign currencies: no restrictions, however amounts over USD 15,000.- (or equivalent) must be declared on arrival, except for Indian and Pakistan currencies which are prohibited. Amounts over USD 10,000.- (or equivalent) have to be declared if intending to take it back.

Payment is in Rupees and if you try to use USD you will get an unfavorable exchange rate compared to money changers. So yes bring SGD and ATM/Credit cards.
