You can join a rental cars gold club or executive club or whatever and then usually skip the lines. Last time I rented a car (not denver) I was 2nd in line. By the time I go the car there were 25 people lined up. My review would have been great, and everyone else would have said the line was forever.

There is, essentially, one road into the airport - Pena Blvd. You can access Pena from several places, but no matter where you get onto Pena, it will take you past the rental car lots prior to the terminal. Yes, they are about 15 minutes by shuttle from the terminal.

Annabell, For this February we have rented a Nissan Pathfinder 4wd, we need the 3d row. It was around $240.00 a day, which is expensive, yes but you are guaranteed the 4wd or AWD you select. On the Enterprise website for Denver airport, you can select a Ford Edge AWD for $156.00 per day.
