I would recommend calling Silver Dollar City directly and asking one of their representatives if they would allow you to upgrade a discounted ticket (e.g., military/veteran) to a season pass. The website doesn't seem to specify one way or another, but the info seems to apply more so to a standard ticket.
We usually visit Silver Dollar City a couple of times per year. A season pass is cheaper than attending twice and comes with discounts. Spring is great with all the great themes and shows and the Christmas season is extraordinary. The lights alone are worth the visit. The elaborate light parade is an extra magnificient addition.
When you add all that up in costs at other theme parks, it's probably close to a hundred dollar per person value. Also, if you can take advantage of it, admission included 14 consecutive days admission to Sea World and Aquatica (their wonderful waterpark).
We were told to buy directly from Sight and Sound to get the best military discounts. We went on Wednesday and were able to purchase tickets for Friday at a 5 dollar discount per ticket. The show was first class, memorable and inspiring. This is the last season for Jonah. Don't miss it if you're in the area.
