John T, they are from the States, DVLA will not have their details! I take it you are referring to the new "code" system now in place whereby you need an authorisation code for the the rental company to check your details online with DVLA.

Do we have to apply for special cards or can we use our passport .to prove our age, if there are discounts. (2)If we don't want to rent a car, is it possible to get to Oxford, Bath,etc.?
