3. Re: HERTZ - unjustified charges to credit card DO NOT USE THEM. They can process the additional charges without notifying you - you allowed this when you signed the contract. Every other rental car company does the same thing so changing firms will not change the outcome if you get a ticket while driving in Italy.

I've joined 'Hertz Gold' membership and booked my car rental via the official Hertz phone line and have prepaid for the car on my credit card. They have my credit card details on file already. I am picking up at SLC airport and dropping off at SF. The rental is in my name. But I will be sharing the driving with my (same-sex) legal spouse.
8. Re: Hertz Rental Denver CO - Customer Service. We rented a car for our recent trip to Denver and returned it April 4th, 2013 having filled it up with gas at the station next to the airport. As so many others have posted to Trip Advisor, a week later we have a bill on our credit card for a gas charge from Hertz.
