Last August we paid $2000 for two of us for 6 nights at the Outrigger Keauhou Beach Resort, deluxe ocean view room, intermediate car rental, and roundtrip flight from California.
I had been searching off and on for airfare from FL to HI for this summer and was coming up with about $1400 RT PP. When there are 4 of you, this adds up pretty fast. I happened upon the Costco site when looking for multi-island packages and using the same dates, I was able to get airfare, 11 nights hotel in a Sheraton (maybe we can upgrade being SPG gold?), inter-island flight and car rental ...
We are looking to use Costco if we travel to Hawaii next year. I have compared the prices through Costco versus booking it ourselves (using this year's prices as an example), and Costco is much cheaper. This is for car and hotel only though as we will use miles for our flights. We have done packages to Hawaii twice before through Travelocity ...

Anyone find the Costco hotel deals for Hawaii to be particularly attractive? I keep seeing them advertised and look at them from time to time, but every time I look at one to book, it doesn't seem to be that great a deal ... for example, right now they are advertising $869 for 5 nights at the Hyatt on Maui, but that's per person ... $1700 or so for 5 nights doesn't sound like a super deal to me.
The price online at Costco's site is the same that you will pay inside the store. The best 'activity' deals at Costco are the Grand Wailea Luau and the Teralani cards. The helicopter tour isn't anything special, it is often matched by others and/or the company.
