We just rented an economy car for a week from Enterprise Rent A Car at Seattle Airport, from the consolidated parking facility. We got a discount using the Entertainment 2013 Book coupons and the weekly rental cost was very reasonable.

It took probably only 20ish minutes to drop car in garage and take the shuttle to airport. The shuttles were very full and the airport was very busy at 3:30 am, so I would build in plenty of time.

Don't know your plans, but if not leaving the downtown area, you won't need a car, and airport to downtown transportation is cheap.

Well I also wouldn't go back out to the airport. Most of the major 'players' for car rental are in the old Bon Mache/Macy's parking garage right downtown.. To answer your question though :-) you can get to the airport using LightRail but it doesn't take you to the car rental places so you'd have to figure that out.
