Denver RTD is hands down, the worst public transit system I have ever experienced. Just in the last week, 5 trains just didn't show up (3 on 1 day, and 2 a couple days later). And the trains are only scheduled every 30 minutes. This has happened over and over in the 5 years that I have been using the light rail.

It all depends where you are going- any city has dangerous/sketchy areas- I had never heard of any issue on the DIA train. Likewise, switching at any light rail station is generally safe. There are security guards on many or most of the trains and light rails. Also- 10 PM is not 2 AM- still should be more people around.
