I rented a car from Hertz for a week. My pick up and drop off location was Logan airport in Boston MA. 2 days before my scheduled rental return I had emergency gall bladder surgery. I was discharged from the hospital one day before the scheduled return with instructions not to drive a car for 3-4 days.

Previous Hertz rentals experiences were uninspiring, and the prices were always 50-100% higher than other companies. For this rental, the price was only a very small amount higher and I was able to earn Delta Sky Miles, and so I took a chance and reserved on line. I am a GOLD member, but do not rent many cars.

Reserved in advanced and selected midsize assuming we would be able to get an SUV from President's Circle. On November 3rd, Hertz had a full garage of cars.
