   I just came back from Japan and wanted to give some information about the Welcome Suica vs Tokyo Metro pass as I used them both in Tokyo. 1) Welcome Suica. - Pros. No deposit. Easy to use. Can use on bus and all metro lines, JR and Private metro lines. - Cons. Can be charged only with cash from ¥1000 to ¥20000.

   Metro Pass only covers Metro, while Toei Pass only covers Toei Subways. Tokyo Subway Tickets are the only Pass which cover both Metro and Toei. But, its 24 hour ticket is expensive (800 yen) and does not pay off. Its 72 hour ticket (1,500 yen) will pay off, but still cannot cover any JR and non-JR trains.
