Looking for advice/tips to organize a "bespoke" train journey vacation using the Amtrak Empire Builder route from Chicago to Seattle probably in Aug 2024. Not looking for a standard Amtrak package but will decide on stops/layovers based on what is worthwhile. Couple only, no kids trying to see as much of the country as possible on this route.
