Reviewing the prices I see that when making the reservation directly in Avis it comes out for 397 dollars: 218 of the car, 89 of LDW and ALI (insurance) and 80 of taxes, while in Priceline for the same car for the same date it gives a total price of 203, indicates that this includes taxes and the two insurances.

Three will be no surprise or hidden fees. But it is probably not worth it for a one day rental. You might save a couple of dollars, it's not like Avis will be $79 for the day but you will get it for $19 with Priceline. Every major hotel has a rental desk in the lobby.

Mindy, I've got a full size rental car booked with Alamo for Nascar Week, dates March 2- 8. The rates go up and down as You know, but I am now paying $140.82 (out the door).
