After a flight delay out of Austin Texas to Houston caused me to miss my connecting flight to Dulles, United airlines issued me a voucher for the new Airport Holiday Inn and three $7 vouchers for food. This happened March 15th. The hotel accepted the vouchers, then also my personal credit card number for any incidentals expenses beyond that.

1 year ago. I will travel Russia to Srilanaka using Qatar Airways in Economy class. My Transit Airport is Doha airport and my transit time is 5hr and 30 minutes. I heard so many persons saw we can get free meals in airport in if we have longer transit time. The airport gives us a food voucher for our boarding pass.
If you have an economy class ticket you will have to buy your own food. Would not know an airline giving you a food voucher during normal connection time. If your flight is getting delayed, then the airline has a duty of care and might give you a voucher. Report inappropriate content.
